The 4 temples that you will be visiting are located in the scenic port cities of Chilaw (west), Mannar (north-west), Jaffna (north) and Triconmalee (east). Along with a number of Hindu and Buddhist religious shrines, you will also explore the natural beauty of Sri Lanka in the form of waterfalls and lush green tea plantations. Your visit to tea factory will give you an insight of what goes into making world’s nest Ceylon tea. Tour Plan
- Arrive in Sri Lanka and clear your immigration and visa formalities at the airport. Meet your chauffeur and board your vehicle for the journey. On the way, we will seek the blessings of Lord Shiva at the Munneswaram & Manavari Temple in Chilaw. Reach Anuradhapura, check-in and further we will head out for sightseeing as the place houses some ancient monasteries, palaces and monuments. Overnight stay in Anuradhapura.
- After an early breakfast, get ready for the day. We will travel to Mannar which is the closest port town to India across the famous Ram Setu. We will take a short stopover here and visit the famous Thirukethiswaram Temple which is Sri Lanka’s end point of Ram Setu. Reach Jaffna - a beautiful coastal town in the north of Sri Lanka. Overnight stay in Jaffna.
- Have your breakfast early and start the temple tour day. First, we will visit the Nallur Kandaswamy Temple which is dedicated to Lord Murugan (another name for Kartikeya). Next, we will travel further toward the northern tip to visit the Naguleswarm Temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. We will then travel to the Thiru Koneswaram temple, which is located on the Eastern coast atop Swami Rock overlooking the blue ocean. Overnight stay in Trincomalee.
- Have an early breakfast at the hotel and start your day. Reach the Sacred City of Kandy - a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Here, we will visit the temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, where the left canine tooth of Gautama Buddha is enshrined. Overnight stay in Kandy
- Post breakfast at the hotel, transfer to Nuwara Eliya. Check-in at the hotel and head out to visit the Ramboda waterfall for a natural retreat. Next, we will learn about the tea manufacturing process by visiting the aromatic tea plantations and a tea factory. Later, visit the Sri Baktha Hanuman Temple located on a small hilltop 30 kms from Nuwara Eliya. Return back to Nuwara Eliya to embark on a city tour. Conclude the day by seeking the blessings of goddess Sita at the Seetha Amman Temple, one of the important shrines of the Ramayana circuit in Sri Lanka. Overnight stay in Nuwara Eliya.
- After breakfast we will head further towards south-east. Reach Kataragama and check-in at the hotel. In the evening, we will visit the Kataragama temple which is a sacred site to Hindus, Buddhist and Muslim pilgrims as well. Overnight stay in Kataragama.
- After your breakfast at the hotel, get ready to start your day. Board your transfers to Colombo - the capital city. Check-in and we will then begin our Colombo city tour which will take us through the major attractions in the city. We have planned this evening for you to indulge in a shopping spree. Overnight stay in Colombo
- After breakfast at the hotel, proceed to the airport for your onward journey. Your tour concludes once we drop you off at the airport.
